June 29th, second day in Memphis

We started our day with some hotel breakfast. Then we went back to the hotel to watch the euro round of 16. Switzerland beat Italy 2-0. (Italy were the reigning champions.) After the game we got into the car and drove to Graceland. At Graceland we first went to the cafe and the diner so we could eat lunch. Then we went to the Elvis: The entertainer museum. At the museum we saw his robes and his golden records. After the museum we went to the making of Elvis, the movie. Then we went to the Elvis motors exhibit. At the exhibit we saw Elvis's cars including his pink Cadillac. Then we got ice cream. After ice cream we walked back to the car and tried to see the mansion, but we were unable to. After that fail we drove back to the hotel, had some down time and then went to a Mediterranean restaurant for dinner.

June 28th, first full day in Memphis

We started our first full day in Memphis by eating some breakfast in the hotel lobby. It was me, my mom, my grandad and my grandmother. After eating breakfast, we went to go to the site where Elvis Presly was originally buried, but when we got there, we couldn't find a way into the park. Because there was not a way into the park, we went to go to an Italian restaurant. The restaurant was TERRIBLE, the customer service was terrible, the cooks forgot to put pineapple on my pizza, there were mosquitoes in the restaurant, the waiter didn't bring me my drink! It was 0.0001-star. After the restaurant we drove to a parking lot, parked our car and then walked to a trolley station. We took the trolley down to the end of the line and back to the second to last stop. After getting of the trolley, we walked to the national civil rights museum. At the civil rights museum we got to learn all about civil rights, and we got to see the place where MLK Jr was shot. After the museum we got back on the trolley and took it to an ice cream store. Once we had finished our ice cream, we walked to the Peabody hotel and watched the Peabody ducks march. After the duck march we walked to a restaurant for dinner (I had ribs). Luckily for us this restaurant was much better and definitely deserves a 5-star review. After we ate, we walked down Beale Street and listened to some music for half an hour. After that we walked back to the car and drove back to the hotel.

This is where MLk Jr was assassinated.
