Mammoth Cave National Park

We started our day with a hotel breakfast at our hotel in Bowling Green. We then had to drive 40 minutes to get to the National Park. Once we got to the park we got our junior ranger booklets, bought a National Parks Yahtzee from the gift shop and ate some more food. After eating we did some research in the visitor's center for our junior ranger booklets. Then we walked to the buses for our cave tour called, The Grand Avenue Tour. The tour was really good and interesting. Something that I learned on the tour is that Mammoth Cave is the longest cave in the world because it is a dry cave. Other caves are wet so those caves cave in. (Pun intended) After the tour we did a lot in our junior ranger books. Then we walked down to the original entrance to Mammoth Cave. We also saw a mama deer with her two fawns. We then we became junior rangers!
